ASN Events Corporate Triathlon - $1785 raised for the Australian Wildlife Conservatory

On 1st March 2020, members of the ASN Events team took part in the Australian Corporate Triathlon Series, with the aim of raising crucial funds for the Australian Wildlife Conservatory. Following the bush fires of early 2020, our team, like many others, felt the need to help in some way. After learning of the devastation caused and seeing the harrowing images on the news, we wanted to play our part in the restoration of the affected communities and wildlife. With health and wellbeing already a large part of the culture at ASN, what better way than to take it to the next level and compete in a corporate triathlon to raise funds for a great cause.

The team took to training, with morning swim sessions, evening runs, and bike rides replacing the usual commute to work. Team members supported and pushed each other both physically and mentally in the lead up to the big day, which was the talk of the office for weeks prior to and post-competition day.

ASN entered three teams, one of which completed in the main event, a full triathlon each (400m swim, 10km bike ride and 4km run). The other two teams took part in the relay event, which meant each participant completed either the run, swim or bike ride.
