Smooth(ie) Start to the Month

An initiative put in place at our HQ office to kick start the month in good health, and bringing a bit of extra excitement to a Monday morning. Lead by Chad Murphy, one of our Sponsorship and Exhibition Managers, who has a passion for health and fitness. Chad’s challenge was to create a new smoothie for everyone in the office to kick start the month - incorporating whole fruit, at least one vegetable, and to taste delicious!

Afterwards, the nutritional information and benefits of each ingredient, alongside the recipe would be shared for all staff to recreate at home!

If you’re curious what smoothies we’ve made at our office, check out the recipe below;

Blueberry Spinach Smoothie:
(makes two serves)

  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yoghurt

  • 1/2 ripe banana

  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1/3 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup spinach leaves

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy, coconut, soy, almond)

  • 2 teaspoons protein powder *optional

  • 1 tablespoon of honey *optional to taste

Add all ingredients to a blender, cover with the lid, and whirl until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach the desired consistency and taste for sweetness - adjusting as necessary. Pour into two glasses and enjoy!
